I’m using ZWave JS UI and through the front end of ZWave JS, when I open and close the Zooz ZSE41 I only get a change of “Last seen.” It doesn’t change the Window/door is open values at all.
Make sure the binary sensor isn’t disabled under the device itself.
Yep. That looks OK. Did you include the device with S2 security?
I believe so. Security is green on UI, and here is what it says on Z-Wave JS.
Sometimes a re-interview helps with weird disconnects like this. Initiate a re-interview in zwave-js-ui then manually wake the sensor (press the button quickly 4 times).
And none of those entities listed have a history of open closed when you click on them and look at the history?

Nope. They have always stayed “closed.” When I originally found the option, I’d open and close the door and it’d just keep showing the “Last seen” alert every time I opened or closed the door and nothing else.
Did you try the re-interview?
Tried the re-interview. Sensors became Unavailable. Had to remove it, repair and got it finally working. Not sure what happened.
