I have three Zooz Zen26 S2 switches that the status in HA is not correct. I also have a Zen 27 dimmer and Aeotec Smart Switch 6 which the status is shown correctly. I am using Hass.io with HA 0.98.3 and a Aeotec Z-wave stick gen 5.
I have tried adding to the configuration.yaml file the pooling_interval: 30000 but this has not fixed the problem. Also noted that when manually moving the slider to on/off in HA it does not always turn the light on/off but if I do it twice then it will work. Everything used to work and I do not understand why now it quit working correctly. Are there any tweaks that can be done that will resolve the issue?
So far I’m up to five ZEN26’s and four ZEN27’s without any issue whatsoever and I use the same Aeotec stick plugged directly into my RPi3 B+. What type of distance between your hub and switches? You should have a decent mesh going on with the four devices but what you’re describing sounds more like a signal strength/interference problem. Have you tried to include them in Secure mode (they should all be S2)?
I thought I had a signal strength problem so I added another device and I thought things were working. Looking at my Logbook for the past 3 days one and only one switch is not updating the status intermittently. The switch giving me issues is in a 4 gang plastic electrical box which has 2 Zen26 switches and 2 standard switches. This indicates that signal strength strength is not the issue since the adjacent switch is working fine. The switch is turning on/off correctly with the automation’s but it is just the status that is not getting updated. All of my devices have been added in Secure mode.
I’m having the same issue with my Zen26 switches. Did you ever get this resolved? I bought a tun of these and I don’t want to return them if I can help it.
Not sure what version of the firmware you’re running, but you can reach out to Zooz and get an OTA firmware file. Maybe the latest firmware and a factory reset might help. It’s a pretty painless process if you have a z-wave stick, I’ve updated the firmware on all my Zooz devices.
I’m having this issue with my ZEN27 too. All my Inovelli switches work great… Kinda sucks, since I have 4 other Zooz switches that I was planning on installing…
Still having the same problem with OpenZWave and my ZEN26 switches from Zooz. It’s so annoying, and I don’t know who to go to with the problem: OZW, HA, or Zooz. Actually, I had told Zooz about it over a year ago, and they claimed it was an HA problem.
When you turn off a Zooz light switch, OZW sends it a “Set” and a “Get” right after another. The switch responds with its new state several times. It seems to send this new state status anywhere from 1 to 7 times over the next 2 seconds. The bug: sometimes, when you turn off the light, it sends “On”, "On, “Off”, “On”. OZW and HA of course see this last status “On” and show the light as on.
So this seems to be a Zooz issue, probably. Unless someone has tried Zwave-JS and not had it happen since.
