ZOOZ ZSE-70 Outside Motion Sensor as a repeater?

I have had several ZSE-70 for a few months now (Outside Motion Sensors) and just connected one to AC power and it’s functioning. I actually took the batteries out of it since it was having a hard time updating it was on AC mains vs Battery, that was yesterday. Today I added a ZOOZ Dimmer Switch much farther away from the controller and pretty close, line of sight in the open to the ZSE-70, probably the motion sensor is the halfway point. When I use the discover function it does not see the motion sensor ID to assign it as a route. When I go to the drop down menu it does not even LIST IT.
I have read that it will function as a repeater when 12-24v is applied is there something else I need to do ? It does show as functioning off of AC Mains just not showing up as an option if I try to manually route a device which is much closer to it than the controller. BTW this is outside in the yard in plastic waterproof housings. the Dimmer Switch does make it back to the controller but at -100db I would like it to be a bit stronger since the ZSE-70 is coming in at -68db

Hello SCRich,

That is very hard to read. I don’t understand.

I know for some devices, if you switch from battery to line-powered (or back), you need to exclude and re-include the device on your network in order for it to function with the new power settings.

Agreed and I had just can remember if i did it with the batteries IN or OUT. Should not matter id its hooked up to power but it did.

I excluded it again and re-included it and all is well now. So it eithwr needed to be done twice which is not unheard of or it just had to have batteries out even when on 12v when adding it back in. I may put the batteries back in now and set an automation to notify me when it goes into battery mode so i know if the GFCI has been tripped.
