I have two Zooz ZSE42 800LR Water Leak XS Sensors
Both are at firmware 2.20.0 and HA claims to have an update to 2.30.0 available.
But when it attempts to do the update I get this message “Failed to perform the action update/install. zwave_error: Z-Wave error 263 - Cannot update firmware for node 18: The update is for a different original firmware version! (ZW0263)”
Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions as how to fix or ideas as to what is wrong?

Yes, I’m having this issue with my ZEN76. I have 2 of these, one updated just fine.

Ah, so after rebooting HA, the device now shows it has the latest version installed. So perhaps the error was happening because the latest version was already installed?
Both my sensors did also finally update on there own.
But as you pointed out HA had to be restarted for the correct firmware version to show up.
Until I rebooted it was still showing me the older version just like yours was.

Apparently the solution is to wait patiently for several days and then reboot
A further thought occurred to me, If this error is as you guessed caused by the new firmware already being successfully installed and the system just needs a restart to recognize that fact, then it would seem that a prompt to do a restart would be in order and or a better error message acknowledging the fact that you are trying to install a duplicate is needed to avoid this type of confusion!
