I just upgraded my USB Z-wave stick to the ZST39. I was using the Silicon Labs 700 stick before this. Upgrade was very easy using NVM backup and restore. Big thanks to those who worked out all the bugs in the upgrade process.
After the change, I noticed my “Normal Power Level” setting of “10” seemed odd. I have never touched these settings so should be default. Am I OK to leave as is or should I change to “-8” which I have seen is the correct default.
System is working perfectly as is to I plan to leave alone, but was curious.
Check with Zooz support.
Where did you get -8 as being the “correct default”? The value can be different for every product as it’s supposed to be based on calibration and operating region.
From Zooz website. But then, if you look at the picture they show below their recommendation, it does not match it. I think I will just leave it alone since it is working great for me right now.
I’d clarify with their tech support as to the discrepancy. This would not be the first time though, when I asked this question for the ZST10 700, they gave me and a different person different answers.
