Zunzunbee Slate Switch (SSWZ8T) – Home Assistant Blueprints (ZHA & Zigbee2MQTT)

Hi everyone ,

We recently released public Zigbee2MQTT support for Zunzunbee Slate Switch (v2.8.0.1) and wanted to share the official Home Assistant blueprints to make setup simple.

To keep things robust and easy to use, we provide two separate blueprints, depending on how your Slate Switch is paired.

:radio_button: What Slate Switch supports

  • Up to 8 buttons
  • Short press and long press
  • Fully configurable via Home Assistant UI
  • No YAML editing required

:jigsaw: Supported integrations

:white_check_mark: ZHA

Use this blueprint if your Slate Switch is paired using Home Assistant’s built-in ZHA integration.

Open your Home Assistant instance and show the blueprint import dialog with a specific blueprint pre-filled.

  • Compatible with Zigbee2MQTT v2.8.0.1+
  • Uses MQTT device triggers
  • No MQTT topic or friendly name required

:gear: Setup

After importing:

  1. Create a new automation
  2. Select the Slate Switch blueprint
  3. Choose your device
  4. Assign actions for each button and press type

:hammer_and_wrench: Troubleshooting

  • ZHA: Use Developer Tools β†’ Events and listen for zha_event
  • Zigbee2MQTT: Confirm action events like button_1_short_press are firing
  • Make sure the blueprint matches how the device is paired

More details, source files, and updates will be shared in a follow-up reply.

Feedback is welcome :+1:
