I have been checking periodically the options at various online stores as well as on ebay, amazon etc in regards to what options there for devices avaliable in the australian market when it come to zwave and as it stands other than a few window and door sensors, the shelly relays, a fibaro button, the heavy duty switch from Aeotec, a Fakro window opener, the fibaro smart implant, one or two smart plugs, its pretty much dead here compared to other options.
I may just need to get one of those door sensors and mod them to various needs after I choose one to test the range with my setup and building layout for reaching my mail box if its viable to try get something setup for it.
If anyone finds new devices listed in australia please feel free to reply to this thread so that we can track them.
I was just pointing out something and wanting to provide more data on the current market state for out of box options even having the ZWA-2 ready to try any I find that I can actually use.
Its not critical for my needs as I have zigbee, wifi and thread/matter; which in the latter I am also periodically checking to see if we get a LR version else I will also invest in a LoRA Gateway for LR devices due to again where my mailbox is (at 60m from my unit and my building layout that of a FACS housing complex of 3 blocks from the street and that side where its at my wifi does not reach at all and its one project I have been wanting to get done, yes I could do a simple notification without any sensor to remind me but I want to try make an active sensor work with my mailbox type).
Everything out there is made for the US or EU market as it stands and yes I do check those other forums but I am participating here in the official HA forum under the Hardware topic for a reason.
