ZWave devices non-functional after update

I have a system with various Zigbee and ZWave devices that has been working well for about a year. Recently, I’ve noticed that after updates to HA, the ZWave devices stop working. I was always able to recover by making a fresh install and then restoring a backup. I"m using Z-Wave JS with a Zooz 700-series stick.

However, a few days ago I updated HA Core and have not been able to recover the ZWave devices. I’ve tried

  1. Restore from working backup.
  2. Reboot.
  3. Power down, unplug/replug ZWave stick, power up.
  4. Fresh install and restore from old, working backup.
  5. Rebuild ZWave routes (still running).

ZWave lists 22 devices but says that 11 are “not ready.”

I’m waiting for see if rebuilding the ZWave routes does anything, but it has been running for more than 12 hours and the progress bar appears to be frozen. I’m not sure what to do next, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried a suggestion I found in another post to fix this: pressing Ping on one of the devices. It worked!

I’ll leave this up here in case someone else runs into the same issue.
