Zwave lights not reporting status

Starting with 0.51.0 I noticed that all but one of my GE lights have stopped sending periodic updates to HA. The one that is working sends an update to HA about once a minute. Other lights of the same model are not. None of the “lights/switches” are setup for polling. The house sensors are, but not the “lights/switches”. Healing the zwave network has had no effect. Nothing in the message log or zwave logs. Testing the zwave network doesn’t seem to help either. I had to stop and restart the zwave network to get the devices talking again. Any thoughts?

I don’t think GE switches have the ability to push their status. HA must poll to get the current state. There are only a few brands that have instant status. Leviton is the patent holder on instant status and only a few companies have paid the ransom. If there is any distance or lots of wall between devices, perhaps one device is no longer forwarding updates from some devices. See if you can plot out device neighbors and see if you can see a potential culprit. ???

At last count I have about 40 of these devices. This started behaving badly with 0.51. I was not having this problem until then.

I would turn on HA debug logging and capture HA and OZW_Log.txt files for timed chunks and compare.

I also have about 40 devices and don’t see issues.

If you have a short polling interval in your config, your zwave network can become overwhelmed with excess traffic.
