I have most of my devices hooked up through wink and HA accessing them through there. Since I’m running only one box, it’s easier to use wink for device connectivity because they update less often so there is less chance of breaking things, but with the tradeoff of new devices and new features being available less often. With that said, I do have some devices that are tied in through my RPi and my Zwave stick. Do the devices tied into wink and the devices tied into HA via z-stick share the same network (I’m guessing probably not)? My real question is whether the devices connected to the other hub will expand my network so that my z-stick devices will work even if they are spread out?
No. Those are two separate zwave networks. So items on one network won’t act as repeaters for items on the other.
As stated above, they are 2 seperate networks.
What you can do is setup the stick or wink as secondary z-wave controller.
I tried this with a vera unit and aeon G5 stick and could not get it to work properly.
I had issues updating the values of devices to the secondary controller.
Like my dana lock: updated the values on primary, but not on secondary.
I think the problem I would have there, is that both would have to support the same devices and wink doesn’t support the GE hinges yet.
