After some time of including and excluding devices, My node ID numbers are all over the place.
Is there anyway to manually change these so they are more representative of the actual number of nodes I have out there?

I have the same doubts… As I understand Aeotec Zwave stick can handle up to 255 nodes… So what happens when node 255 is included and more nodes need to be added? There will be planty of free slots for additional nodes, but will controller start over adding new nodes to these emptied slots? Or reset of controller will be required and starting rebuilding the mesh from scratch?
Once you reach 255 the controller will start from 2 again to fill up empty numbers.
