Zwave payload changed for one device

I have two Aeotech Wallmote Quads that I’ve used for at least 3 years via NodeRed flows. Suddenly, the payload of just one of those devices has changed and I can’t figure out why. Specifically, event.value now reports “0” for KeyPressed and “1” for KeyHeldDown whereas up until just yesterday they reported those String values / enumerations instead of the numeric values. And this is just one of the two Wallmotes; the other one still reports KeyPressed and KeyHeldDown. I’ve updated my NodeRed flows to account for the change, but I’m very curious what would cause this change and would like to understand if I should expect it to happen to the other device? Both of the WallMotes report the same firmware version – 2.3.

FWIW: I’m using the Z-Wave JS add on version 0.7.2
