Zwave Stick and Hassio

I have been scouring this forum but so far have yet to find a solution for this problem.

Using the Aeon Z-wave stick on Raspberry Pi3+ with Hassio install.
Z-stick is recognized and appears under configuration but when trying to use the add node button, it does not add any device and the error “Can’t lock controller for command : add_node” is logged under the info section.

Any help on solution to this would be greatly appreciated?

Same issue for me on a new install of home assistant after an SD card issue.

Any resolution here? I am having same issue. Seems like it has appeared in last two weeks.

For me the issue was related to adding z-wave devices that were previously paired to a zwave controller. I had to make sure that I excluded the zwave device before adding it. In some cases, I had to factory reset the zwave device that I was trying to add.

Thank you. Just moved to new Hassio images, and then factory reset all my Zwave devices. Now I have Sonoff switches that aren’t appearing – believe that is MQTT related.
