Zwave thermostat, amazon echo, and emulated hue to replace google NEST

the topic says most of it.

With the recent information regarding Google and Nest, if I switch from the Nest thermostat to a zwave thermostat such as honewell, will the emulated hue layer be able to exchange information with amazon echo for voice control of the thermostat?
I would want to change temperature, check current thermostat temperature as well as check the current thermostat target temperature.

I already have a HZBUSB zwave/zigbee controller, with zwave and zigbee devices so there is no connectivity issue to home assistant.

Thanks in advance!
