Did you managed to install z-wave in windows? Please help. I can’t find a guide on how to do this in windows. Thanks.
Hi, I’d like to know too - did you get this working?
I’ve been looking at hass for a while but the only thing stopping me from using it has been the lack of support for zwave on Windows.
If you did get it working, would you mind explaining how?
i have the same problem, the documentation only focus on linux
To run openzwave on windows you will likely have to compile it yourself using Visual Studio or Mingw32. Refer to https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/blob/24e01beeb6fc708820261a82ac1004baff4545ad/INSTALL
Because, as noted in the installation methods, Windows is not an appropriate host OS for this software.
People have luck with running virtual box and running home assistant on a proper OS in a VM.
