Zwave2MQTT Unraid Community App (Docker) Available

Huge thanks (as always) to @robertsLando

For anyone using Unraid OS - the Zwave2MQTT docker is now available through the community app store:

  1. Install community Apps plugin using this URL:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/plugins/community.applications.plg
  1. Click on Apps and search for Zwave2MQTT
  2. Enjoy
  3. Show appreciation to @robertsLando here

This has more features and customization than the current OZW docker (although that is still in beta, and i’m sure it will catch up over time)

Hasn’t that been there or did I template it from dockerhub a couple months ago?

not sure:

I don’t know how to make this work!
I have it installed and running, what is next?

What isn’t working? You have a Zwave USB? Some Zwave devices? What are you trying to do?

I have a Zwave USB and Zwave lights. I was just wondering how this works?

The docker communicates with the Zwave USB. There is a UI for config.

You can chose to use HA MQTT auto discovery which basically sends HA all the devices (I found this contained too many entities alarm_type alarm_level burglar_level etc that I didn’t need)

So I chose to manually add MQTT entities to HA in config.yaml

Allows me to restart HA, without taking the Zwave network down. Also it is OZW 1.6

I imagine the HA OZW setup will catch up to this functionality as the devs are all working together, but had this running nicely for quite a while now.

Have you checked out the GitHub repo?
