ZwaveJS - configured parameters on device not saving?

I’m trying to modify some parameters on Zooz 72 light switches. When I go to the device info page and configure I get real-time green check marks suggesting the parameters are adjusted. However when I leave and re enter the device configuration screen everything has been reset to before.

Any ideas what is wrong and how to solve?

I’m using a raspberry pi 4 with Zooz usb stick and the HA OS with zwavejs.

UPDATE: I noticed that if I don’t go back to the configuration UI the switches seem to accept the changes and work as programmed (e.g. maximum brightness). It appears to just be an issue with going back to the config screen and default settings being loaded. Is this working as designed? I would’ve assumed it would show what the settings are, not the defaults.

This has nothing to do with the integration, but how browsers work. By hitting back the browser does exactly that. You need to refresh or enter the page again to see the current values.

To clarify:
The settings adjust in the UI and I get confirmation in the UI

However, regardless if I leave, restart home assistant, and return the settings revert back in the UI to prior state.

Not sure if you ever figured this out, but I thought I’d post in case it helps you or others that it seems like you have to enter wake mode by quickly tapping the upper paddle of the switch quickly 7 times. This worked for me in Home Assistant. From the user manual of the Zooz 700 Z-Wave switch I have:

WAKE-UP MODE
You will need to wake the Remote Switch up when
changing any advanced settings or assigning any new
scenes or actions to it. Click the upper paddle 7 times
as quickly as possible to wake the device up. The LED
indicator will stay on solid blue during wake-up and will
turn off when the device turns the Z-Wave radio off
again

but I thought I’d post in case it helps you or others

You did just that for me on my ZSE44. Thank you.
