0.110: Speed! OpenZWave beta, HomeKit Cameras, ONVIF, Calendars

Ive logged an issue here: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/35923

My reboots seem to have settled down, i left it last night and woke up to 20 notifications so the system had rebooted multiple times in the night for me. However playing with my camera settings i first removed them and the error went away.

I added them back in and the errors came back but no reboots. I am using FFMPEG cameras from an YiHome RTSP feed using YiHack-V4 firmware. I also tried generic and same errors appear.

I notice before that error i get a demux error no DTS in stream component.

What changes in 0.110.1?

Like with the 0.110 I can install it (0.110.1) and I don’t know why …

Yes, but the.1, just a bug fix?

Yes, that’s what the incremental updates are for.

All ‘point releases’ typically consist of just bug fixes and no new (major) functionality. You can see what was corrected by viewing the Releases section of core’s GitHub repository:

Scroll down, under the release notes for the main release, you find the release notes for the minor . releases.

Okay, thanks to the three of you for your answers and for explaining to me

by installing 0.110.1, HACS disappeared, in your house too?

I am intrigued why anyone installs the .0 versions. I usually wait until at least .3 so others find most of the issues . I learnt that when I installed one .0 release and it trashed everything!

Seriously though, I do think there should be a preview channel, in addition to the dev channel, which allows a wider audience to test new releases. Might help with some of this anguish.

I like updates indeed, but lately, so many things are broken… Takes a lot of time to fix or change code…
It’s not as simple as just update and go…

Everytime if you update you need to take your time for it… That’s wasn’t before…

An update in my opinion, if it breaks something, it should update and fix it… it’s not the user that must fix it

wow ! I love the calendar addition, I can finally see my Nextcloud calendar in Home assistant . I can’t wait for the calendar card to be integrated.

Only issue as others have mentioned is that the week starts on a sunday.

also I’m seriously impressed with the speed increase !!!

thanks again team for a incredible upgrade

Looking good! Mine failed the first time, and after about 10 mins rebooted and reverted to the previous version! I tried again, and it succeeded - may have been the .1 release that did it…

Anyway, I’m liking the speed, and getting used to deleting things from the YAML and finding them in the GUI…

agreed ! its nice to clean out the YAML.

I have the new calendar panel, all my calendars are listed, but I don’t see any events in the actual calendar? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else mention this in the replies. I do have some errors in the logs about todoist but the sensors are all present and correct. I have just todoist and google as calendars.

The beta is available one week before the main release, anyone can test if they want to.

Actually we release a nightly build every day, and multiple beta iterations one week before each release.

Both are open for everybody. We have a dedicated beta channel on discord chat open during beta week. Lots of people participate, it is a really good way to contribute.

NewB question: does anyone have a script / example on how to load /set up all the different containers?

Same… all ok in Chrome, iOS Apps. Would prefer not to have to disable this option in Firefox.
