2.0 Release Update

we need a new invite for test flight? :slight_smile

Robbie mentions this in his first post.

The final App Store 2.0 version will not have Siri Shortcuts and Apple Watch support.

Version 2.1 will see these reintroduced.

I can confirm that the latest rereleased Test Flight beta still contains these features.

Yay - Update to beta app.

Is there a new link to redeem? I did t have the prior beta.

Should be able to update in testfight

Yep got it. Thanks for the link

Is only me or the new beta has the same problem as v60 and is not publishing images in notifications?

the new beta hasn’t been changed at all, it was simply stalling the expiration time.

I have the exact same problem. The notifications with an attachment (a url pointing to a picture file) worked fine until updating to the last beta. This is very unfortunate as I need this for notifications from my video surveillance system.
By the way: The exact same notifications are sent fine with the old 1.5 version of the app.

Working fine for me though.

Edit: I was wrong😂 doesn’t work it seems. I will try again some more later today.

The notifications issue is a known issue for the latest beta. There was an environmental issue when building the latest beta that as caused it (I’m sure the rush to get the beta out before the expiration didn’t help matters). Robbie will be fixing it but he just hasn’t had time yet. (Information from the Discord channel)

Just love to have activities from my iPhone to my Hassio, but do anybody knows why my steps is not updating? Hassio is always behind my phone, is there a way you can set update interval?

Thanks for the information! I guess we are all hoping for a quick release of the official 2.0.

any news why Apple has not released it yet?

I setup geofencing zones in my Hass.io, and have the iOS app on both my phone and the wife’s. Loving the great app, fyi. It’s practically exactly the same as being logged in at home. What I can’t seem to figure out though, is the background GPS/location refreshes. Is this an app issue, or did I miss configuring something somewhere? It often shows me at home when I’m not. :frowning:

I can’t speak specifically to the GPS/location refresh other than I know it updates on major cahnges, but I would recommend using the Person component (https://www.home-assistant.io/components/person/) for tracking presence. It lets you combine multiple trackers to determine presence. I’m currently using iOS location, ping, and Bluetooth combined for all of my Person’s. Works great.

Great job on the app @robbiet480! I have a feature request: it would be fantastic if the widget could show the value of some entities in the Today screen on iOS. Is this something you have already considered?

Any idea when we’re gonna get an approval from apple? Planning on a re architecture of my hass.io instance here, and am holding off til 2.0 drops

Hello everyone, I want to send out a little warning to all users that rely on the 2.0 app (like I do). For now, do NOT update to 0.100.0b0!!! Your app will work fine until the cache gets refreshed. When that happens it is over! The app will no longer start and crash immediately. Removing the integration and redo it will not work, nor will reinstalling the app work. You will get the onboarding process and once it almost finishes it will crash. The app will not be paired, but the integration will be created.

This happens with the dev and beta versions of HA 0.100.0b0. I have tried a lot of things but nothing seemed to work. No errors are given either!

Reverting to 99.3 immediately solved the problem (even on the devices where I didn’t go through the process of resetting everything).

So just so you know do NOT update (yet)!
