I updated to Core 2021-12-2 and all looked well but I noticed some of my Hue lights and sockets were misbehaving. Not knowing what the cause was I decided to go back to the previous 2012-12-1, I had taken a full snapshot. My Hue lights and sockets behaved as expected.
NOW the real issue is I wanted to reload 2012-12-2 Core to see if the misbehaviour reoccurred.
I have tried unsuccessfully a few time to update to 2012-12-2. I have even done a full reboot and tried again.
On pressing upload I am immediately returned to the CONFIGURATION main page.
I CANNOT re-load 2012-12-2 Core.
I cannot find it this quickly but I have seen a post today about the hue integration working great in 12.1 and not anymore in 12.2. One response was that the developer is working hard on fixing it in 12.3.
I don’t know if it relates to your situation but once I find the topic, I’ll share it here.
Thank you for the reply. For me, I have noticed as well in the move from 12.1 to 12.2 that motion, doors, and lights are all acting strangely. I will report here in case it helps someone troubleshoot:
Lights turn on and off as normal, however the “status” reported in the GUI is not always acurate, where it was rock solid since 12.1. Also I noticed the Integration has imported “way more” things from Hue than were in the old integration. There are new entities called “Led” for each light, for example, and the names of buttons for remotes/huebuttons have changed, so I had to fix all those autimations.
Motion sensors (both indoor and outdoor) are slow to respond, or do not seem to respond at all. For example, if I walk into a room where the Motion will see me, I can see the light on the device pick up motion, but maybe 50% of the time it works. If I walk out of the room and walk in again, maybe it works the second time and for a few minutes normally, but after long period of no motion, it will fail to react again.
I know the Motion sensor hardware will shut down for a few moments after it detects motion so it doesn’t keep detecting new motion again and again, and my theory is that HA sometimes “misses” the first notification, but the sensor will not send notification again for a few seconds, and by that time the motion has stopped, etc… Just a sequencing issue between the physical sensor and the hue bridge communicating to HA, is my non developer guess.
Thanks again anyone who figures this out, and for the integration in the first place, which has been until now working flawlessly.
I noticed my motion sensors got a switch entities added. When I leave my house, a routine turns off all switches. So now all my motion sensors get turned off also.
Hello I am completely new in HA, I did the update (12.2) yesterday and 75% of my Hue lights/sockets and Konyks sockets not responding or stay blocked even if I click on the button/switch multiple time.
Same thing here. Hue not working as expacted after update to 2021.12.2. Reverted back to 2021.12.1 and back to normal. Will wait for a fix before upgrading again.

Hue - I’m glad I’m not alone. Awaiting the fix, cheers guys.
(The reversion to 2012-12-1 did eventually happen. I have no idea how but I went to bed with the ‘lost connection’ still showing in the bottom left hand corner. In the morning it had loaded, it took hours).
Same here, rolled back to 2021.11.5 (last snapshot I had).
What was odd in my case is that half of the lights worked, half not. Trying to tune it they worked for a short while but then got back not working again.
