2022.7: A stunning performance

This is from the “Setting - System Health - Integration start times”. Running 2022.6.7 the integration raspberry_pi takes much the same as the other integrations. Running 2022.7.1 it takes significantly longer.

And, on my system at least, it is an issue preventing me from running 2022.7.1

Actually it was over a month ago as it was indeed in 2022.6 (but not 2022.5). As I said, github issue time.

Thanks @DavidFW1960 but this post was before it was mentioned

Updating from 2022.7.1 to 2022.7.2 failed to start HA and constant loop to try to start it.

Last mesage in the logs is:

CRITICAL (stream_worker) [libav.generic] Assertion next_dts <= 0x7fffffff failed at libavformat/movenc.c:1087

ha supervisor repair in CLI didn’t solve the issue

I just updated to 2022.7.2 from 2022.6.7

I’m running an odroid n2+ and home assistant os.

You’re likely using a custom component with a different numpy version requirement than HA core

@henkie86 Use the ble_monitor custom component, which is not affected by the python 3.10 + bluetooth issue.

@martinw72 any idea what we should be looking for to be notified when this is fixed? (7.1 and 7.2 didn’t fix it for me)

What is broken?

I have that exact same problem, it is called “raspberry_pi” in the logs, and if you digg deeper in the logs (debug turned on), it is “hassio” and “hardware”.

I already posted about this here in this thread:

It came to grip and let me start after the update of Supervisor, but it still is the most time consuming component, right now taking around 230 secs to start. :expressionless:

@Docrob
Will you do the honor of an issue @github or should I? I woouldn’t be mad if you’d do, but please leave a link here so one (me) can chime in on it.

After upgrade to HA 7.2 my HACS integration stopped as usual. It generates a lot of errors in log

Xiaomi Mi and Aqara Air Conditioning Companion

I can not send/learn IR commnds via Companion without “loop” errors in log.

And HA 7.2 starts much slower than June version for me.

Will have to back to stable June release.

Has anyone seen any issues with Emulated Hue broken and not working at all after upgrading to 2022.7.2? I had to roll back to 2022.6.7 to get functionality back again as the error in the logs appears as first entry upon startup.

My Dexcom integration stopped working. Anyone else?
Restored Supervisor 2022.07.0, and it’s working now.

If your problem is with a 3rd party integration being incompatible with python 3.10 then no update of core will change that. You need to figure out which 3rd party integrations you’re using that are broken, create an issue in those repos and wait for an update there. Or disable those integrations for now until the author updates them.

The integration is working with Supervisor 2022.07.0, so I don’t think Python is the problem.
I was having other problems that a reboot of the router fixed, so I will try an update to 2022.07.2 later today. Almost everything else seems to be working fine in 2022.07.0

RESOLVED
Would this be an indicator that the integration is not Py3.1 compatible?

Error setting up entry honeywell for honeywell

10:28:21 AM – (ERROR) components/honeywell/init.py

After restarting HA a few times chasing other issues, the Honeywell integration is working now.

O my god, do not update to any 2022.7 version till all problems fixed!
Most important GPIO feature stopped working even through HACS.
Cant check validations and restart, after hard restart issues still persist, something is wrong with HACS.
WAIT TILL 2022.7.6 at least.

True! Waf below zero now😭

Rpi GPIO works fine on HA version 2022.7.x
If it doesn’t work, reboot the host.

I did file an issue report in the integration, but so far - no response.
Besides, not all seem to agree that this is a non-HA 7.x issue; 2022.7: A stunning performance - #294 by martinw72

So, I’m still keeping my hopes up…

After upgraded to 2022.7.2, I have a bunch of Ikea Tradfri on/off switches stopped working… it is not triggering automation, so it seems.

I have not have a chance to look into logs, since this is my production setup at home. 8(

I am running on a Pi3, with HAOS.

anyone seeing the same issue?
