Edit important
Just did a full system reboot instead of restart of hass
And

That does the trick!

After initial update (early comment)
As many updated
but can’ reach the internal menus of integrations (hacs and official)
Neither can I open backups f.e.

Functionwise it is working
Hacs keeps working but won’t open(white screen)
z2m works but can’t open (white screen)
glances doesn’t open
backups keep loading
Energy +configuration works completely

Dear Homeassistant Team,
by viewing the 2024.5 Release Party, install the version directly to the system.
After restart some pages from the Setting dialog like Home Assistant Cloud are shown “Error while loding page”. This will be at Cloud, Integration, Automation, Areas, Dashbords, Voice-Assistant and so on. On System the Page will load but page general, repairs, logs, analytics, network, storage and Hardware are also not loading.

Anyone find some switches really slow now?
you click on the webpage, the device then sorta hang on click turns on.
With some it’s so slow the switch in the gui goes back to the off position, you hear the plug turn on and then the gui goes no wait, it is on and puts it back to the on position.

Used to be instant either way.

You need to tell more about what device, what integration. But these type of problems are often indicative of communication problems for Zigbee or Z-wave.

In my case I managed to fix the issue of restart by disabling a custom integration in the very short time I had the UI available. In my case the custom integration causing a memory fault was Dreame Vaccum. If the UI becomes available for a short period of time you need to see in the startup messages in the UI what is the last custom integration that is loaded and try to disable it as soon as possible.

This scenario only appears to happen when using large charges. on 4/9/22 I gave the battery a small charge and the problem didn't manifest. You are right. Usually I only ensure to do a backup prior to .0 release. Can you share a procedure on how to chose the version prior to the reboot, I was completely stuck but I managed to disable the custom integration causing the issue, during the 30 seconds window I had prior to the crash and reboot

As some already mentioned: HA starts up, then gets stuck and somehow claims all memory (something stuck in a loop?) and gets killed by the kernel because of OOM.

Downgraded back to 2024.4.4 and works ok.
