2025.6 Beta week

A general reminder: Beta week (in this month’s case, "Beta almost-two-weeks) is not designed to fully overhaul a new feature, but to identify bugs that may be introduced with the update.

If you have an issue, please let us know here! However, the developers are very active in the #beta channel of our Discord server during Beta - it’s good to hop in there if you can. To ensure things are addressed in a timely manner, be sure to also submit issues on GitHub in their proper space:

Here are this month’s Beta notes! We’re opening this up a couple days early, and extending the beta by a week. Frenck put why in the blog, but I also posted about it here when we announced the changes to this release. This is another one of those quality of life updates, but on steroids. Here are some things that I think are noteworthy this release:

That’s…basically the entire blog. I’m technically out of office today and tomorrow, but don’t let that stop y’all from chatting here about this beta before I’m back around on Wednesday.
I’m here today to make sure this is posted, that’s it. :relieved:

Build should already be available. :clap:t2: Happy testing, friends!

Amazon Devices integration looks very interesting. A replacement for AMP which is on life support.

Some functionalities from AMP are missing, but it looks promising if this is a first step !

Any more UI-improvements/changes?
Or changed CSS classes and selectors?

Great updates! Thank you! Specially the sidebar persistence!

Is it just me or is “users” part missing? I only have persons in settings part where normally there are also users…
Or has been this part changed in this beta?

Looks to be a other great update!

One perspective if I may:

While I’d like a default set by profile for the side bar (persistence), I do find myself preferring a different sidebar between my mobile and desktop. Especially the desktop that I do my updates from as that needs access to features that I don’t use on a day to day basis.

Any chance of that?

Would you prefer the central Pennsylvania version… “y’ns”?

Hi,

I think it is just you
If you open “persons” you will see the “User” option at the top;

I still have both

That’s odd… after VM reboot users reappeared. Only HA reboot didn’t help…
Thanks!

Am I not supposed to see repairs ? I installed my beta (as I always do) on my Pi2 (32bit arm), but don’t see a repair about deprecating 32bit.

I’m still running supervised and haven’t gotten any repairs.

I’m forwarding your question on, fyi.

Can you provide info/logs here please?

I’m the same - I really like the idea of the sidebar settings being stored in the profile (vs. browser), BUT I’d definitely want the desktop vs. mobile settings to be different. I’m not editing or deeply interacting with my HA instance from the phone, so developer tools, studio code, mqtt explorer and other ‘advanced’ add-ons as well as native features like history and logbook don’t need to be in the sidebar (and if I do find I need them via mobile in a pinch, I know I can still always get to them). From the phone, my interactions are primarily (95%+ of the time) focused on my dashboards, with the very occasional visit to Settings for Devices & Services or Automations & Scenes.

That’s basically pretty easy to achieve: just create another user for mobile and you’ll have two different users/settings.

That’s a good idea I’ll have to explore. The other I was thinking was making a dash view with links to the add-ons. I already have a list of links set-up to disable kiosk mode on some dashs for editing…
