Something got mixed up, i guess :innocent:

Unfortunately the new map tiles are extremely ugly in Dark mode, though obviously better than the tiles being covered in a request for an API Key.

It would be good to be able to specify what tile set you want to use irrespective of your overall dashboard theme being dark/light. It would be nice if the OpenFreeMap tiles could be used, their “Liberty” set is great for light mode and their “Fiord” set is good for dark mode without being too dark or ugly.

How was Hubitat integration not listed in Backward-incompatible changes section of 2026.9.0 release note ?

Would you mind sharing your findings regarding the Hubitat integration? I assume you are referring to @jason0x43’s custom HACS integration for Hubitat?

It fails to initialize - already reported by others and a fix has been merged: Hubitat integration stopped working after upgrade to HASS version 2026.9 · Issue #387 · jason0x43/hacs-hubitat · GitHub

But given that every release has a list of breaking changes (2026.9: There's room on this bus - Home Assistant), I’m wondering how such a widely used integration was missed from the list.

Is there a way to help fund Nabu Casa/Home Assistant/Open Home Foundation without subscribing to your cloud service? I like the work that you guys are doing, but I use Home Assistant so I can minimize my use/dependence on cloud services. I don’t want to sign up for your cloud, give you and others access to my Home Assistant instance, or give you my private data.

Would be nice if you could enumerate or aunch apps on google streamer too.

I just had a play with the new ‘alerts’ function on the auto configured security dashboard (not that I use those) but the entity selector doesn’t even allow me to choose most of my entities, certainly not the ones for motion sensors etc.

Not sure if this is a bug or something to do with how my entities are configured. Anyone else tried this?

I’m pretty new to HA, but I don’t recall that listing ever including custom (i.e. HACS) integrations.

Must vary a lot by region. I am currently on a small island in the middle of the southern ocean. The map shows buildings and roads.

It’s been around for a while, and it does work great! Not sure how widely used it is, though

Are you running a Proxmox instillation?

If so, try changing the VM CPU Type to x86-64-v2-AES or host.

Correct. Core integrations only, not third party.

Having the same issue but not on Proxmox. On HAOS native on a intel nuc.

HA is crashing for me as well. I can ssh into my server, but HA UI is not available.

edit: seems to come up in safe-mode

edit 2: crashed in safe-mode

HAOS rebooting after a couple minutes on boot. Run on a HA Blue.

Rebooted in safe mode and Restored the last backup and am up again. Waiting to see if there are any others having issue with this release.

Same here. Hubitat borked, rolled back to 2026.8.3 and everything works again. Will make sure to check the comments before upgrading next time.
