did you use ha core update --version=2026.8.3 ?
I went also back to 2026.8.3, but the windows and andriod webpage won’t load…
the apps are working, but web interfaces are down after downgrading from 2026.9
I’m also getting the same issue. Here’s what I’ve got:
- I’m on Home Assistant OS on a Fitlet (generic x86)
- It happens on Desktop in the Edge browser even after clearing cache, and in an incognito window.
- It happens no matter what page I’m on (Settings, ESPHome Device Builder, Media)
- When I sign in to an incognito session, I get stuck at the page with the “Could not load Home Assistant…” message, and the page refreshes every 8 seconds. The URL path is
/?auth_callback=1&code={REDACTED}&state={REDACTED}...- If I clear the path on the URL, the main dashboard is loaded, but the page continues to refresh every 8 seconds.
- Once the page loads, I see there’s a persistent notification showing that my authentication failed.
- I use Home Assistant Cloud and have a vanity URL
- The issue does not happen on mobile. It happened once on my partner’s phone, but I hit the back button and she’s been able to use the dashboard normally. We are both on Android and use the mobile app.
- The issue seems to be intermittent. It went away for about 10 minutes while I was debugging just now, and came back with a fury, reloading every 5 seconds.
Use your browser’s dev tools to inspect the ekement and see what you can learn from it (I don’t know myself).

Ahh. It’s a pity the Modbus update didn’t come out a month or two ago. I’d been using Modbus to monitor and control my new heat pump hot water system (iStore 270L) via ESPHome.
It suddenly stopped working and I assumed it was my hardware. Replaced it all and nada… so I assume it might have been some software changes, that maybe this fixed.
It’s a bit late now because I bought the brand’s add-on and no longer need a DIY modbus connection.
It’s not an mdi icon.

Happens on my system too. I am running it on a RPi 5 and a standard plain installation. I am also using Edge.
Is this reported on Github?
From the documentation, I really wish there would be a better description about deep links. How can one find the deep link of an app when its not listed in the examples? How do we know an app supports deep links or not…
BTW, is really a Google Play Store update the culprit? because with the Android ADB integration, launching apps via its ID is still possible and works reliable.

Yes it seems to very alot, even 500m from my location, there i a small Village, with about 20 houses/properties, and the only thing showed is The Property borders of the Church
And 5km from here is a lager Village with and Even Larger Church , a Store, Big School etc, probably +300 properties , Church,Houses, Farms etc.
Not a single building in the Map, or properties borders( cant even see i.e how many Villas(houses) there are on a single street ) ( Regardless how much one zoom in )… So yes From this perspective OpenStreet Map really Sucks ( pathetically )
Or Maybe this is what it is … A Street Map, thats it, guess the rest( or somehow look up coordinates your self, for each ( on site, as you really can’t tell from the map )
Certainly. It is called “Home Assistant Cloud” - but there is no need to use any of the services. For US$6.50 monthly (or US$65 yearly) you get to choose which - if any - services you want to use. I personally subscribed a couple of years before I upgraded to the Voice PE and started using their cloud Voice services.
I fully agree with your concerns about allowing “big data” into your home … but at the end of the day it comes down to who you trust … and I personally believe Nabu Casa & Home Assistant are looking out for our security when negotiating any deals. Not that anything is always perfect, of course.

I installed the new version and do some testings of the new feature in history and activity. I see a difference in the way history is reacting.
Whatever I select in type or integrations, no source is available in history where it works well in activity. The only way to have some entities is to add a target.
Do you you the same on your instance ?

Also @frenck told in the party an update on Proxmox VE where Pause button is coming.
He gave a good idea about energy saving but I didn’t find this available in the control panel.

yes, really not trusting the orginisation with allowing you remote access that basically are home assistant who are the biggest advocates for keeping all your smart stuff locallly sounds a bit strange in itself 
I get the not trusting people with your data, but I bet you use a mobile.
Correct. Basically there are already so many official core integrations which the developers do need to test.
It is just not practical to test every combination of custom (HACS) integrations (even assuming that developers have all the HACS integrations installed) - especially in the release schedule timeframe.
You do have the option of not updating as soon as something is released. For major issues with popular integrations you will likely see forum posts within a few days.
You have to select at least one target for history (one area, one device or one entity).
There is also the option to participate in the beta…
All(! there are hundreds) HACS integrations installed.., very unlikely, for many integrations you would have to own the device or service they are made for

I am seeing this issue as well: every 8 seconds or so using Chromium-based browsers: all currently opended HA tabs keep refreshing a few times whle only showing the HA logo and some text I wasn’t able to capture yet.
That takes 1 to 2 seconds each time and renders the frontend unusable.
The Android app does not seem to have this issue.
I just found out that the issue is gone if I directly load HA without addressing a Reverse Proxy.
Which I was doing since March 2025.
Firefox does still work using a Reverse Proxy, as well as the Android app (which threw an error at first when forcing to refresh).

I Have the same problem, running HAOS on Intel Nuc
The beauty of openstreetmap is that you can contribute to the map and make it more detailed. Like homeassistant, it’s a community project.
