2026.9: There's room on this bus

im not sure how this would work, unless i in details have to learn not only the process, of github contributions" rules of laws, for exposing peoples properties/houses in various countries, etc. etc.
And i don’t know the orig. Sources of OpenMap either, thou im pretty sure my Location have been “Mapped” probably since before the year of 1000ac , and the churches, schools, properties roads since 1400 ) Some have been added & divided through the years thou.
So should i take a “road-trip” asking property-owners for permissions, and get a copy of their property coordinance , or should i just “borrow” what i can from i.e Google or all other public Map Services ?

Just start with your own property and communal areas. You can use an app wich i have linked to. Thats how other parts of the map were created. Public services are a great source. Of course, only if you want the map to be amended.

Yes, I tried https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and the TV opened iPlayer in the browser, not in the app — which is no use, as it’s much clunkier and doesn’t support 4K.

I’m currently looking for deep links that’ll open:

  • Apple TV
  • BBC iPlayer
  • BBC Sounds
  • MLB

Unfortunately launching via ADB isn’t possible for me, because my TCL refuses to even allow ADB to be enabled if you’re using a wired connection — it has to be wireless or USB, and I really don’t want to have to run a USB cable across the house to my HA box, or give the TV network access that I can’t easily revoke by pulling a cable that’s right in front of me…

Even when I did launch via an application ID, back when that worked, it didn’t launch the app, just sat at a screen with an Open button — but waiting a second and sending an OK press is obviously dangerous, just in case the application ID launch fails.

@frenck If somebody finds a deep link that isn’t listed in the documentation, what’s the procedure for getting it added to the list? Ideally the docs would have a comprehensive list of deep links — though possibly the list of examples should contain a link to that, as the doc page is fairly long already :slightly_smiling_face:

did you try any of the following?

  1. Main Hub / Browse: bbc://iplayer/browse
  2. Direct Playback: bbc://iplayer/playback
  3. Alternative Web Scheme: bbciplayer://

Yes, i really don’t care about the map, It would be another story if i.e 4 coordinates could be used to “frame” a Zone, as it’s really ain’t the “radius” of a protocol-beams people mostly use it for, and i only use it for an “approx” as i.e GPS ain’t reliable here either. (the reason i have 2 zones, smallest is covered by WIFI, ghz868(Mailbox 60-70m from my house and concrete basement), + Zigbee , So basically everything without of reach from my " Controllers " is not reliable.
It’s another story with GPS where it is “working” correct, i.e the school 5km from here. etc. … even my back-up LTE Router(with antenna on the Roof) and Mobile-Phone “lines” fluctuates between 2 access points 3 and 4 KM away to south-east <>south-vest ( Through High Forrest’s )
Anyways, great they fixed the API for the native-map

if I am not mistaking, that isnt 100% the case?

there still is no option to unset the icon/name?

if you agree with that, please re-open, as that is a feature that would be very sweet to have

It seems to take considerably longer for the Companion App to load remotely via Nabu Casa.

You can find a collection of deep links here, including BBC: Android TV Remote - App Links/Deep Linking - Guide

The same here. RPi5, Android app.

Would be cool to see finally a good working dimmer concept in the next updates.
Specialy with the intergrates HA all supports.

I’ve been chasing this down myself this morning.
My install is under Proxmox.

For me I had these lines in my config from old javascript modules I no longer used.
When I removed these lines my loading issues were resolved.

Posting just in case it gives anyone some pointers.

Hi. Long time HA user, I’ve run into (what I think is) my first upgrade bug :grimacing:

Essentially, speech-to-text no longer works for me. I use the Nabu Casa Cloud engine, and French is my main language. I have two voice preview devices as well as Android phones with Assist.

I tried to enable the new Labs feature right after the upgrade, and noticed that my devices stopped replying to me. I then disabled the feature in Labs. But the issue remained.

All I see in the debugging tool is either:

speech-to-text failed (stt-stream-failed)

Or “Run done” at the top and nothing else.

Unfortunately I didn’t try Assist after the upgrade and before enabling the Labs feature…

It doesn’t look like TTS works either.

EDIT: I disabled IPv6 locally and that fixed the issue, not sure why but it was mentioned in some GitHub issues.

Thanks! That’s solved the MLB and Apple TV links.

Unfortunately the BBC iPlayer links there don’t work — I suspect they’re for the NVidia Shield version. I’m not sure whether the .apk I’ve decompiled is the right Android TV version, but it looks like the BBC didn’t bother implementing deep linking on that. Given how long it took to add subtitles to their Apple TV version, I’m not holding out much hope of them fixing this

Wow, it must be a hell of a job for all contributions. Like the presentation and all the new features. Thanks to you all.

I heard Guillaume speculate about this during the releaseparty. The new map is vector-based so a posibility. Would be a great new feature for automations.

They also mentioned that you can create an account at Open Street Map and add missing detail yourself.

Thanks for this! I’ve been scratching my head the whole afternoon and then I saw your post. I had this in my old config that’s once removed, the dashboard is now back to normal.

Love HA using it for years now but am stuck on 2026.7.4 as since 2026.8 the hue Intregration fails due to a change in version 8.

More people have this issue but we are not sure what to do.
This has to do that we al have devices connected in our Hue hubs that have multiple light in one device thus sharing a MAC address.

I prefere not to remove all the lights from my setup.
