Fridges and dehumidifiers use Tuya Cloud for device pairing and data syncing
“ConnectLife” appears in Tuya’s developer search tools as a “Powered by Tuya” (PBT) device, handling the WiFi module and basic commands
If there official API has such problems has anyone tried getting it working in Tuya? From my understanding with the Portable AC I just purchased (for a steal) it looks like there are users who have successfully manually added it to Smart Life & it works but lacks the Scheduling controls, humidity monitoring, & the emergy logs.
The official integration was not working for me. I was able to integrate and connect using ConnectLife credentials, but it was not fully working. I was able to turn on/off the AC and nothing else. Got multiple errors and was not able to set the temp or anything else besides on/off.
Thanks for this. It’s the only HA integration that works for my Hisense 16kW ducted using HACZ01+HAAZ01 controller. The zones don’t appear as per the description, however all other features do.
Has anyone figured out how to dim the display on a Hisense split system? there is a button on the remote but neither the official or unofficial connectlife/hisenseAC integrations seem to have it, neither does good old SmartIR as far as I can see.
since the AC remote doesn’t send a discrete “dim” command and just sends the entire configuration string like most AC controllers I cant easily learn the command manually.
On the dimmer issue, It seems like the control isn’t available through the API, but if you dim via the remote, then put the remote away and only use the API controls, it remembers that option and the display dims 10 seconds after any command until the unit is hard power cycled or the remote is used again.
So I’ve recorded an IR command that includes the dim option, and I can send that to the unit followed by an API off command to reset the dim option if it gets lost due to a power cycle.
If someone finds a way to dim the display without sending the whole configuration IR command let me know though.

...if may helps, mine AC stop to work properly after a general software system upgrade version, luckly, after two days spent to try to understand the issue with the AI (stupid), I have been warned by HA (I don't know exactly how and by what) about the need to re autenticate devices, on github trough my github account, inserting an app generated code (from where?), but doing so it started to work again, and looks to by stable.

But I try it also here, because there may be some knowledgable people here!
Does anyone know how the devices HC25YC00G and HC35WU00G connect? Can you control them locally, i.e., without using their cloud service? As far as I read here, I doubt it… But there is basically no information about these devices I can find online, except some very short technical datasheets… If they are cloud-only, can you use the ESP32 method?
