Hey all, can I hijack this topic for a sec?
I’m working with an Aiphone JO-1MD headunit and have bought a Shelly Plus Uni with the sole purpose of getting notifications into HA (and subsequently on my phone). I managed to power the Shelly directly from the 18VDC that is powering the Aiphone.
But for the next step, I’m not sure what to do. Since I don’t want the magic smoke to escape from either device, I’m hoping someone can tell me the right way of connecting both devices.
The Shelly has three possible inputs. An analog one, two digital ones and a digital count in.
The Aiphone headunit on the other hand has an optional ‘call ext’. My brief testing with a multimeter shows the voltage over the two ‘call ext’ pins, when the doorbell is pressed, goes up to 4,6V (maybe 5V) and then very slowly goes back to 0V (internal capacitor draining slowly?).
According to the manual, the call ext is used to hook up a second chime.
My initial thought was to use this to connect to the Shelly but I’m not sure how since the Aiphone ‘call ext’ has two pins and the Shelly only has one pin for input.
Should I connect one of the call ext pins to the ground pin of the Aiphone and the other one to the shelly input and if so which one; anolog or digital?
I’ll include the links to both the documentation for the Aiphone and the Shelly.
I hope someone can help me out with this.

Oh, testing is a bit of an issue since I live alone and I’m not able to both press the doorbell downstairs and see what the multimeter readings are at that time (upstairs)…If there’s an option to ‘fake’ a doorbell press on the headunit, that would be great!
Thanks in advance!
