There is a new update coming out next week to correct an issue.
Since one of the last updates, people may experience the console dropping off and when you go to the screen it’s black and then the app reloads again.
This will be resolved

Also, anyone with Mitsubishi Electric systems.
A new gateway firmware had been released which makes over all control/communication to the system much better. Recommend installing this and it resolves some temperature control issues.
This checks out. It only started once i connected my tablet to play store so pressumibly it would have updated when that happened
Just me 2 messages earlier
Issue started after the last major Airtouch update and has been worked on since. The fix does sort out the problem.
Thanks @smitcoracing, I have also seen this very occasionally. It often seemed to occur not too long after I had restarted Home Assistant several times in quick succession while testing updates to the integration. Hadn’t happened often enough in normal use for me to report it yet. Looking forward to the fix though!
It seems to happen more for some and less for others but only often enough that it just becomes annoying.
Thanks for the info. Will that also apply to AT4 systems running the AT5 tablet?
Thank you! I’ve been suffering in silence and have even gone so far as to automate a restart on the console every day in the morning because the console app would lock up, lose wifi, can’t communicate with it, and schedules weren’t running properly. Once restarted, it would run perfectly fine for a while. Glad to hear an update may fix this!
I don’t know if this relates to the Airtouch 4 app.
The issue did come about from a part of Google/android from my understanding.
If the wifi is dropping off, did you ever have the patch update done to the console?
You would need to check in the tablets settings for the android version and when you tap on that it should show the security version. If it’s the 2022 dated one it would need to be updated to the 2023 version.
This is done via a SD card update.
you will need to call airtouch and get one of their techs to come out and update the tablet OS. I had to do it for mine purchased two years ago. It can’t be updated over the internet.
After they updated it, it has been rock solid for many months now.
It’s the airtouch 5 for me. Android version 11. Security update 5 May 2022.
I installed it all myself, and I will do everything possible to NOT call a tech out. Such a pain scheduling someone to come out, them not show, take home off work, etc… I’d rather just be provided the update on an SD card and update it myself if needed. Very tech savvy so to watch someone bumble around is very painful when I could have just done it myself
your right I am tech savvy Aswell I hate all os that’s built for the devices to be locked away that only tech people can use it
Yeah that version is the older one which can have the SD card update done to a newer version if the previous is having wifi dropouts. Doesn’t matter how tech savvy you think you might be, sometimes the manufactures contractors or personal need to do it and it’s just the way it works.
Hi, I’m having some trouble getting AirTouch 5 integration to work in HA. I enter the IP address of the tablet into the form, and after a while it says “Success! Created configuration for 192.168…” but it is stuck trying to setup a device, it continually shows “Failed setup, will retry”
After enabling debug logging, I get the following entries:

I just updated the AirTouch 5 tablet, and this is the HA version I’m on:
Core: 2024.2.1
Supervisor: 2024.11.4
Operating System: 11.5
Frontend: 20240207.1
This is the first time trying to setup AirTouch 5 integration, so it should be the latest.
Has anyone seen this behaviour before? Any ideas?
There was a change to the AirTouch API earlier this year that impacted the integrations. It looks like you are using the built-in integration, so you will need to update Home Assistant to be able to connect to the AirTouch 5.
Awesome! That worked
I previously tried using the HACS version, but that wasn’t working either, but after the update, both versions are working! It looks like the custom HACS integration has more features, so I’ll use that. Now off to build some dashboards!
Here’s something on my wish-list for the HACS version of the Polyaire integration:
I would love to have the Favourites on the console trigerable from HA. At the moment, I have to replicate all the settings involved in each favourite in HA - and remember to change HA if a favourite ever changes.
I have looked into bringing the favourites into Home Assistant a couple of times, but unfortunately there is no API for the favourites. Even the official Android app doesn’t seem to share favourites with the console.
This would need to be submitted to the Polyaire team as an enhancement request to include them in the API for a future console update.
I had this issue, but worked out it was because my installer had set up the units without any zones.
Adding zones fixed the setup issue. It’s redundant but it works.
@Danzel has the issue on GitHub and might be working on a fix.
Whilst at it with @Danzel - could the integration expose the current room temperature as a separate entity?
