Ajax alarm system

Wired isn’t anymore an option so if anyone can help it’d be greatly appreciated .

i’ll setup a Jeedom server where i buy the Ajax intigration ( https://doc.jeedom.com/en_US/plugins/security/ajaxSystem/ ) then i link the jeedom server with mqtt to the Home assistant server.

Now Home assistent detect when a door goes open

did you experimented this setup yourself? I have not on my side and I ask this question because I’m really wondering whether open/close will be reported when alarm is disarmed. Ajax app itself does not report door status except if door sensor is set to always active.

Hello, do you have any news regarding a possible use of HA with Ajax? without going through Jeedom or wiring a remote control? If necessary I work for a company referenced by Ajax I can help

Yeedom has some online API only for companies. I was on a conference where the owner talked about the future and he referred that Smart home integrations are no priority. I asked him a question regarding local API for ‘big’ companies and they are planning to facilitate that. So if there will be a local API that would be the solution for HA. Up till then you have to use something like Yeedom or HA should apply for API connection.

Hello.
I believe that the project by @Den901 is not ever going to happened.
The project is inactive 3 months now…:frowning:

Yes i know i have some problems with the manager, i’m working offline….
It’s not simple to create the library, cause u have to create a lot of entities due to the difference about hubs and sensors

OK, but if Jeedom has an API, we couldn’t imagine relying on another “free” API (even one that doesn’t belong to Nabu Casa?) for HA? from what I see several developers here have agreed to obtain an API. I could possibly get one too by applying to Ajax. Personally, I refuse to go through Jeedom, I find no point in having two home automation systems to do one thing…

I Agree but best solution would be Nabu Casa doing this to maintain certain level off trust. However I guess anyone can apply for the time being untill they come up with a local API or something else

It’s totally true that in terms of trust it would be better if everything was integrated by Nabu Casa, but obviously this is not their priority. The world of alarms is quite complete with many manufacturers… the fact of having already natively integrated the SIA is a great step forward.
I work for several remote surveillance centers and for me the idea is to be able to control everything from a single point in your house and entrust the monitoring of the alarm to the centers when you leave your house : I specify, without having to press several remote controls or open several applications.

The problem with api being made available is security and insurance
Im an alarm engineer and while I believe the ajax isn’t fully compliant with en50131 pro systems like it are.
If the system is certificated then the maintainer is responsible and liable for it’s performance.
Allowing 3rd party control will breach the installers etc insurance cover.
However I see that sensor states etc would be useful.
I use hkc myself and have used outputs to achieve this but I’d never allow unsetting of the system from a 3rd party.
Arming maybe
Plus you have the potential BS8418 breaches if police response.
I don’t know of proper gear that has a native api for this. The risks and supports costs would be huge
If there was an additional charge for api support and maintaining it then maybe there would be more interest from the manufacturers

I did the same but I can’t set up retain flag on Jeedom MQTT integration so I loose windows/doors sensor states on every reboot of HA…

I left trying, but maybe you can make some quick HOWTO with screenshots?

I have Ajax Jeedom integration, have jMQTT local broker and remote broker, but with 0 equipment.
Want to add equipment to any of them, but inside Ajax integration i dont have any button like (publish this equipment to MQTT)

No, it is not possible while your system is disarmed

sorry to get back so lately

which integration, jeedom one or HA SIA integration?

Well i got something working.
Ive set Jeedom integration, and it hooked up all the equipment on 3 sites i have on my email registered to Ajax.

Ive made a mqtt to remote broker (homeassistant)

made in homeassistant lots of buttons on ARM and Disarm zones

The thing i dont receive is any info on any sensor or Zone.
In jeedom for example a door sensor data looks like this:

I was so upset i thought that i should have Zone states (armed disarmed alarm)
And the best i could get is sensor states (movement, open close, temp)
But no, send only mode (arm disarm) , no states receive mode i could say

Had the same issue, but in EMQX i modified all MQTT topics from Jeedom to be retained. Should be a few good guides on how to do it

Hi did you figure out any solution for this? I also have Ajax Translator for my security company and i would like to workout SIA integration as well. Cheers

Could you elaborate some more about the API you’re connecting with?
I may be able to help with the library, but if it is the API of Jeedom, I don’t think it is worth the effort as you’re relying on a third-party.
