Not sure where to start with this one I have been following a link elsewhere on the forum about various issues controlling lights Sonoff switches flashed with tasmota via the philips hue protocol and alexa…and it having various problems not responding…The issue I have is that I have is with groups set up within the Alexa App, lounge, kitchen, dining room etc and now when I ask Alexa to turn off a specific group, half the lights are turned off in one group and half in another…so if I ask the four lights to be turned off in the lounge, I get two turned off in the lounge and two in the dining room…it’s really odd…I am also getting a random switch on from an led rgb strip with no call to turn it on…Is there a database I can reset somewhere for the philips hue…or is it a fundamental problem with Alexa?
Thanks
I don’t fully follow your issue.

What platform are you using to bridge home assistant to alexa. There’s many ways to do this so be specific.

Post your configuration as well.
I am using HassIO 0.94.0 and Mosquitto Broker 4.3
with this in the configuration.yaml
emulated_hue:
type: alexa
host_ip: 192.168.0.50
listen_port: 8300
expose_by_default: true
exposed_domains:
- light
- switch
So that I can switch my sonoff switches which I have flashed with Tasmota…via Alexa…
I have been doing this quite successfully for just over a year. It broke in one of the updates but I’m not sure which one.
Within the alexa app I have set up groups…within the groups I have added the discovered devices from my home, there are about 20 such sonoff devices.
They are listed in groups as follows
Bedroom
Lounge
Dining Room
Kitchen…etc
when I ask alexa to turn on the Lounge group…I used to get all the sonoff switches assigned to this group switch on
when I ask alexa to turn on the Dining room group… I used to get all the sonoff switches assigned to this group switch on
But now when I ask alexa to turn on the Lounge group…half the sonoffs turn on in the Lounge and half turn on in the Dining room…
I have deleted the groups within Alexa and rebuilt them and still it does the same actions each time
I know they have updated the alexa app I wonder if there is an issue there end…I just don’t know how to check it any further…
This must have been an Amazon bug as this has now mysteriously rectified itself…
Sorry, I didn’t see your reply. FYI if you use the reply button at the bottom of the thread, it doesn’t notify people in the thread that you responded. If you reply to a specific message it does.
Also, do you have any groups in alexa that share similar names to devices in ha? I’ve ran into issues with alexa because of similar name devices.
