Animated wind speed/direction compass using history?

I have added a wind direction custom card to my dashboard with the speed shown too.

It looks great but got me thinking. It would be great to have a compass showing the changes over a period of time so the compass shows the wind changes using the history of a period of time. I realise this is unlikely to be a simple card and may need programming but thought someone might have done this?

Ideally, it would involve a smooth transition of the pointer between direction points but a basic history would do. Anyone done this?

Lovelace Windrose Card

Hello, I’ve been working an a custom Lovelace card and would like some feedback. It’s a windrose card to show wind speed and direction history.
