I could be wrong, but to generate an API to use this you’d need to have Apple Developer subscription, which is 99 a year.

yea, you’ll need an Apple subscription. Can we play downloaded Apple Music files in Hassio? cause I notice there is some software like Apple Music converter.

Now, the Apple Web Player is released for a long time. As for a new integration in Hassio, I don’t know much more. But to play Apple Music playlists from HA, you can draw support from a professional Apple Music Converter, which can download and convert Apple Music as plain audio files. Based on this, it can be compatible with all devices, players, assistant, etc.

I have been hoping for some news on Apple Music in HA also. Today I saw this new open source project releasing a multi-platform Apple Music player. Could this be extended to run on HA? I’ve just installed this on my windows laptop but it can also be installed on Linux machines, and it’s pretty impressive. There is also a remote app for your phone to control the player. Could this interface be used to integrate into HA? I’ve no skills to know how to check let alone try. But could be a boon if we can control Apple Music from within HA. Could even be something for Music Assistant?

This is awesome, I wonder how hard it would be to containerize.

Being able to play my Apple Music library from Home Assistant is the missing link for me. Would be so happy to see this finally happen.
