Aqara Cube

I don’t have it either.

What region are you using?

I’m using the mainland China server in Australia.
Someone else on the Facebook page is using the same server and has the update.

Strange. :thinking:

Yep, that’s me! What gateway are you guys using? Mine is the DGNWG02LM “upgrade version” (https://www.banggood.com/Original-Xiaomi-Upgrade-Smart-Home-WiFi-Remote-Control-Multi-functional-Gateway-p-1047282.html?rmmds=search)

I’m definitely using Gateway 2. (Gateway 3 has the IR blaster).

Idem. Gateway 2.

Mainland China server from Spain.

No update yet.

Still nothing. Do I have to be on the local wifi or can I do it remotely? Because I haven’t been home since the update was released.

Edit:

Finally!

Hello, i’ve got only rotate functions, any idea ?

Same here. Only rotate functions.

Has anyone got all functions working with the aqara cube with the new firmware?

I’ve got the following working:

  • free_fall
  • move
  • rotate
  • shake_air
  • tap_twice
  • flip90
  • flip180

Update firmware last night.
I have all functions working - (same as lb_20)
Haven’t played with the rotate yet see how to best use the angle and the delayed response. No way to have it dim/bright in real-time, obviously…but should be enough to step through some presets nicely.
didn’t try swing

I was able to generate very small rotations - BUT the cube doesn’t seem to “wake” on the small movement. Making a large movement, then moving it back to a slight angle off of starting yield small rotation numbers. Not ideal.
action_type=rotate, action_value=28.5
action_type=rotate, action_value=17.5
action_type=rotate, action_value=11.5
action_type=rotate, action_value=-4.31
action_type=rotate, action_value=24.5
action_type=rotate, action_value=1.32
action_type=rotate, action_value=10.37
action_type=rotate, action_value=-6.37
action_type=rotate, action_value=-1.5

Additionally…I was able the get following action types…but I can’t get them consistently and in case of IAM, I have only see it here it the log file and no idea what generated it.

action_type=swing
action_type=iam
action_type=alert

FYI…this is code you can put into your configuration.yaml file
Then look at the output in the /configuration/home-assistant.log file.

The Mac as an app called “Console” that is ideal for browsing, searching log files.
Using a command line tool like ‘less’ or ‘tail’ is also good

#-- DEBUG -- #
logger:
  default: info
  logs:
    homeassistant.components.xiaomi: debug
    homeassistant.components.binary_sensor.xiaomi: debug
    homeassistant.components.sensor.xiaomi: debug
    homeassistant.components.light.xiaomi: debug
    homeassistant.components.switch.xiaomi: debug

Still waiting. Mine just says “Just a sec…” when I try and look for a firmware update.

My firmware update came through and it is working. Hooray!

If I have Raspbery Pi with hassio installed and (will be) Elelabs ZigBee Raspberry Pi Shield or Linear HUSBZB-1 as a modul for ZigBee communication, is possible to make this aquara cube visible and functional in HA?
As I see you mostly have xiaomi gateway but if this is not required I want to avoid this gateway
EDIT: One more question. Is it possible to update xiaomi aqara devices firmware without xiaomi gateway?
