I was watching one of the reviews of this one just earlier this afternoon but so far there is no listing for it here in Australia to buy directly at least on amazon and one of the listings on ebay has it for aud$150 plus shipping so it’s something I would need to wait till next pay and to wait for more listings to see if the prices drop a little more before I look at grabbing one to replace the Aeotec Motion sensor that I am using in the bathroom.

Just ordered one, should get it next week.
Obviously z2m compatibility might take a while for someone to get it working. I’m curious if you can still setup the new ai spatial feature without the aqara app

Keep us posted on what you find that works on the initial release of it.

But, Aqara Hub is required

If you don’t have a thread border router that connects to your HA instance already then yes but in most cases no.

I have the P2 Door and window sensors working directly with my HA instance and I have them paired through the GL-S200 via the QR code pairing using the HA companion app on the phone.

Certain features may be limited to their eco system and it’s what @ferbulous will be able to validate for us once they have one in hand.

You can still get one from taobao, they do international shipping which might cost you another 20-30 bucks

150 aud is a bit too much

I’ll look at it at another date, not in any rush to get one at the moment.

What is like to know is, how does it differ from the FP1 without the E?

I’m more curious about the new ai spatial learning, seems to be actually getting rid of false detection coming from ceiling fans/ac from early reviews.

I’ve just received one. Connected easily in the ZHA network but after that it was all quiet.
Within ZHA there are no entities apart from RSSI and LQI and Identify.

I think it is not yet in the ZHA database.

I was able to easily pair it to my z2m network, but as expected, it is currently unsupported

Really looking forward to z2m support so I can use it within my existing zigbee network

Mine arrived two hours ago, pairing to my Aqara Hub M3 worked.

And in Homeassistant, the FP1E is now in the Hub M3 via Matter

Have an FP1E in hand. HA yellow. Guess I’ll have to wait for z2m.

Anyone mind testing it with ceiling fan in the room? I think might need to get an aqara hub as well until it’s supported in z2m

Looks like from the current replies in this thread this is one I am going to hold off on getting until its more supported without the hub.

Same here, I will revisit the thread in a couple of months :slightly_smiling_face:

I just got one associated to Z2M and it says it’s not supported.

No. The hub is only required if you can’t wait until the FP1E is supported in ZHA or Z2M.

Every single device of the thousands currently supported by ZHA or Z2M will say “a hub is required” on the manufacturer’s site.
