Thanks for the report!
I am also running latest Z2M (had to update, since this device was only supported more recently than whatever old version I was on; which also forced me to update HA itself (as 2.0.0 Z2M requires at least HA 2024.9, IIRC)).
By now I had a chance to play with mine, I have it installed and running and so far I would say this is the best mmWave sensor I have tried yet! It seems to report state changes accurately and quickly, but when there are no state changes it does not spam the Zigbee network (like many of the cheap Tuya devices do). And this was straight out of the box without even needing to tweak any of the settings (which seems to be needed on pretty much every other mmWave sensor). Finally, the distance reporting seems like it might even be accurate enough to base some automations on (on pretty much every other sensor I have tried, this reading seems wildly inaccurate, and therefore generally useless).
So far I am very, very pleased with it. The only gripe I have is the price. But in this case, at least you are getting what you pay for.
I only have one so far and only been using it for about a day or two. I plan on ordering at least 1 more (maybe 2) and see if I have the same luck with those. At least they are readily available on Amazon, which also means that returns should be much easier (especially compared to AliExpress) in case things don’t work out.
