Are there water softeners with HA intergration? [EU]

Hey all,

We are looking for a water softener and I would love it when we can intergrate is with Home Assistant. I thinks sensors for water flow, cycle and salt level would be minimum extra input would be bonus.

Are there know softeners that have an integration or an (open) API? I’ve looked at the Pentair Foleo. But I cannot find info about the API or an existing integration. Other brands would be fine too I guess.

I know of a vendor called BWT and there might be some integration possible.
I found this thread.

Oh, wow. That’s about four times the local prices. Thanks though. I will look into it.

There is a thread with some diy solutions:

Did you find anything useful? I can’t seem to find anything that integrates directly here in EU.

I‘m having a device from Judo and I use this

Works perfectly

No, I found no (affordable) solution. I’ve even contacted multiple factories. But I either got no reply or a generic reply not even mentioning the topic.

I’ve put it on a shelf for the time being. But this week my gas meter was removed, so now I have space to pick it up again.

The main problem is, a regular softener is easily less than €1.000,-. But a smart one can easely be between €2.500 / 5.000,-, Even then, it’s uncertain it has an open API. Or even modbus.

I came across a manufacturer called DROP that seems to offer native home assistant integration:

Looks expensive, but I might buy one because the fact they took the time to build an open API and HA integration might indicate they put the same level of care and consumer friendliness in other areas too :person_shrugging:

Nice to see a vendor that goes that extra mile.
Sadly it is a product for the American market, so not really relevant for this thread starter. :frowning:

Looks nice and indeed nice to see the native integration. Thing is, as mentioned, it is US based. And I’m in the EU. Also the device is around the USD 5000,- So, that would even mean that there are cheaper EU options on the market with integration.

might be a little late but we got a Rheem Platinum with WiFi using the iQua app it can communicate with HA.
