I too started receiving this message right after upgrading to v0.54. The “err_internal_error” message appears on the “Configurator” card after Home Assistant is authorized via the “Configure” link.
Hasn’t work for days, but this morning, all of a sudden, it decided to start working again for no apparent reason and without any config. changes.
Are you using websocket?
I’m running a Automatic Pro also but anytime I turn off or on my engine my automations do not work. However when I send in my automation via their dev portal using websockets it does work. Any ideas on what’s wrong?
Yes I’m using Websocks
Not sure why your automations don’t work. Is the car showing up and moving/tracking on the map?
I’m still waiting for current_location approval. I have a way to get it working but it’s not very intuitive. I’m having ifttt send a web request to HA to trigger a script.
Edit: Just wanted to say that it started working today for some reason. Maybe something was up server-side with Automatic. I no longer need to go through ifttt, yay!
Hi
Anyone getting this error …

Same here, just upgraded to 0.56.1, not sure if it existed prior to upgrade.
If this helps anyone:
I couldn’t get the configurator in hassio to work correctly as I don’t have https access - (For security I don’t connect outside my private network to hassio).
When I clicked the configurator (I have multiple cars with automatic sensors and this doesn’t tell me which is which - so I went in the order of my yaml) and signed in to automatic webpage and finish I would get redirected to “localhost/redirect?code=123abc123abc&state=123abc123abc” and chrome just chokes… The solution for me was to replace localhost/redirect? in the front of this address with "http://IPADDRESS:8123/api/automatic/callback?" So it will look like http://192.168.0.248:8123/api/automatic/callback?code=123abc123abc&state=123abc123abc keeping the code and state numbers previously returned the same. (my example has the ip of hassio at 192.168.0.248, change this to match yours.)
My cars all report being home (and they are) so I will see if they update correctly, but at least they are listed now. Hope this helps someone.
Scott
This is what finally helped me finish my config, thank you.
Every time I restart the machine Autmoatic needs to authenticate ?
Normal or its a problem in my setup ?
At one point, I also had to re-authenticate after each Hassio restart. However, at some point and for some unknown reason it stopped asking - I assumed right after one of the updates. Suggest you make sure you’re running the latest version of Home Assistant.
There are still extremely rare occasions when it asks me to re-authenticate but I consider that normal.
In regards of Lovelace and automatic the redirect address should be
https://mywebpage.com/lovelace/api/automatic/callback
because , I am using what is the documentation and redirects me to states , any ideas ?
Lovelace or not … this is what works for me:
URL:
https://mywebpage.duckdns.org
OAuth Redirect URL:
https://mywebpage.duckdns.org/api/automatic/callback
Event Delivery Preference: WebSocket
Automatic shutting down
We will be shutting down all operations at 11:59 pm, PT, on May 28, 2020 and, as a result, your Automatic service will end on that time.
Any alternative with Home Assistant integration ?
I am really bummed about this. I have two Automatic Pros.
SiriusXM, who owns Automatic is shedding weight and decided to drop it.
The only alternative I found was Bouncie, but they charge $8 month and I do not believe there is HA integration. Following this post.
The Automatic subreddit is building a list of alternatives; however, I haven’t checked to see if there are any (custom) integrations to get their data into HA.
Yep I just found that earlier today. From their list, I’m going to give the Freematics One Model B (https://freematics.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=94) a try I think. I like the DIY bits, and even though I have to pay for service, it seems like there is more control over the service and I love that the hardware is open.

Did anyone receive the rebate?
Nope. Checked spam folders continuously too.
Same here, saw the following on the XM support site here
"If you have not received your rebate, please check your spam or junk folders and if further assistance is needed please refer to https://www.myprepaidcenter.com/contact-us."
