Many many moons ago, I started my own numbering system to help me group my automatons well before we have the labels and filters now. It helps me find them in the automations.yaml file, and I have around 40~ groups, which break down into groups of 4 etc. e.g.; 041.05.3.8: When this happens do something.
To zero in on a group of similar automations; I could type the first two or three numbers, and only the automations with that exact string in the title would appear;
041.05 → would bring up everything within the group 041 dot 05, usually about 5-15 automations depending on the group.
However now; the dots / fullstops; seem to break up the string completely, and the search results are extensive and non relevant to what I have typed. Now;
041.05.3.8 → brings up any automation with; 041 or 05 or 3 or 8 in the title.
Search is broken I say. When did this change and can it be changed back? I’ve tried on firefox and brave, same results.
With 600 automations; it’s rather handy to have the search function to remain the way it has for years.
Edit; I should add; enclosing the number string in quotes doesn’t change the result either.
Edit2; ordering the list by name doesn’t work anymore either; it ignores dots/fullstops so everything is all over the place.
