Hello everyone,
I would like to bind a Xiaomi Aqara button switch WXKG11LM with an IKEA control outlet (plug) [E1603/E1702 but I am not finding how to. I feel I tried everything on the zigbee2mqtt frontend panel…
Could anyone help please?
Indeed it is but I don not know how to set it up.
Shall I go to the button or to the plug interface?
Also have no idea how to do it. I found this and thought about converting it into UI, but I am lost…
I don’t know about the IKEA outlet, but I had to create a group (in my case with one bulb) before I could bind the button. The button is bound to the group which contains the bulb.
I’m still lost with this, the documentation only gives information on doing this with commands… Do I start from the button and bind the bulb? Or start from the bulb and bind the button? And which clusters?
Thanks @francisp , works like a charm!! Bound some Ikea dimmer to led-strips and even an Hue dimmer to Innr bulb-group
I could need some advice:
When trying to bind my Hue wall switch module to a Hue lamp, it’s not allowing me to do so.
When I tried it with a group, but it didn’t work either, but it did gave me the following log:
Anyone got the golden solution?
Yeah, I’d be keen to find a solution also.
Configure failed: Error: Bind 0x00124b00251fb08f/1 msTemperatureMeasurement from ‘0x00124b0025909a1d/1’ failed (AREQ - ZDO - bindRsp after 10000ms)
I’m trying to bind some Sonoff ZNB-02 temp / humidity sensors, I’ve had them connected in the past, but only to the coordinator. Currently trying to build a network out with a couple of Ikea E1746 devices and a Sonoff ZBMINI but I’m seriously considering writing zigbee off as a bad joke.
I had the Sonoff ZNB-02 sensor connected and working successfully for a number of months. I haven’t noticed when exactly but it stopped reporting. When I’ve noticed I tried to re-pair but receive exactly the same error message for binding error. What does that mean exactly? I am trying to understand whether it’s a sensor problem or Zigbee2Mqtt?
Turned out that those binding error messages are in result of device timeouts that in my case happened because of low battery. Once I’ve replaced the battery with the fresh one the device was able to successfully pair without errors. So, lesson 1: have a pack of replacement batteries near by. Now, I did check the battery with a multimeter when troubleshooting and the voltage was totally normal 3.1V (coin lithium battery). Apparently it’s not enough. During pairing a ZB device may draw way more power from a battery than usual and if a battery is partly exhausted it could drop the voltage and disconnect the device during pairing. Such a situation is almost impossible to detect so just have a fresh battery ready to verify if it’s the case. When I installed that battery to another device that was already paired it showed the battery capacity about 8% instead of 100% and that was the answer to my questions: a weak battery. Hope this explanation helps someone.
Hey,
I am looking for a same solution as you?
Did you find one meanwhile?
If one of the devices is a powered device then press a button on it to wake it up immediately after staring the binding process!
I went from 100% binding fail to 100% binding success once I figured out the battery powered device was taking too long to respond to the bind request.
