I was wondering where I can find the method used for calculating these time in Indonesia. No use calculating the times with the wrong base info.
secondly, since this integration will calculate the time for the HA lat/long coordinates, and I will be traveling, I need some way to re-calculate to my devices gps coordinates.
I do have the time differences calculated, but not sure if that is of any good.
Anyone here with a suggestion how I could create a tool for the travelbag? Pointing me to the next prayer time, and allow me to respect that in the host country as a visitor.
Since Home Assistant is built around your home, why not look at it differently: use an app on your phone that calculates this on your current date and location?
I quick Google searchs gives back a lot or results:
From a Home Assistant perspective you could also have a look at zones. They can have different coordinates. This would probably require the prayer times component to be extended to make use of this.
yes, that what @petro thought swell, and why I was looking for a way to โcalculateโ it for now. simply adding +5 (timezone difference) will probably not be correct. Though I always have the exact time_zone at hand via my life360 extension app in HA
Hey Guys, Iโm new here. Tried the https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/islamic_prayer_times/ but the timings are always off. Iโm from Singapore. I find that Karachi gives the best results, Dhuhr is only 1 minute early, but Fajr is way off, 8 minutes late.
Iโve tried isna , mwl and makkah but the timings are way off.
