Can HomeAssistant be programmed to do math and perform “If-Then” logic?

I have a ACiQ mini-split system manufactured by Midia connected to my wifi. I also have the NetHomePlus app on my iPhone.

  1. If I purchase a Home Assistant Green unit, would the Media app be installed on the Assistant Green Unit?

  2. If my wifi is on and I lose my internet connection, will Assistant Green unit still control?

  3. I want to program the following: Can Home Assistant do it?

Set Temp, Inside Temp, Cool and Fan, are as Labeled on remote and NetHomePlus app; ∆T would be an internal register (functions are not shown correctly on Alexa).

  • Set Temp - Inside Temp = ∆T
  • if ∆T greater than 1.0, turn on Cool mode
  • if ∆T less than -2.0, turn on Fan mode

FYI - Reason unit will over-cool by as much as 4 degrees.

I assume you mean Midea, not Media.

No, that’s not how HA works. Check the available integrations - there is only one for Midea, but only for CCM15 devices. I don’t know what that means, or whether it’s compatible with your device.

For the integration I mentioned above, it should still work because the integration uses Local Polling.

Yes it can via automations, but I think there’s more suitable options which might be more suitable for you, like the generic thermostat (though that doesn’t seem to have a fan mode, which the climate integration has)

You might also be able to use this and get rid of the app entirely. You can check if your device is supported here.

Note that I do not use any of the above. All my replies were based on searching the forums and the HA docs. Should you have any more questions, I might not be able to answer them, but others might.

CCM15 devices looks like more than I want to invest…
