Obviously I am the only one affected.
Any advice in how to deal with this? What if started now to define persons in the config yaml? Does it “overwrite” what is defined in the GUI?
You’re going to need to provide screenshots and elaborate on what you’re doing. You’re using lingo that doesn’t make sense. So post screenshots of your process in the UI.
Sorry to hear that, I apologise for being too unspecific.
I am in the Person Menu and tried to delete one of the devices there. When I delete the device by either clicking on the X or deleting it by hand and press Aktualisieren (update?) I am back to the overview of my persons and when I go back into my user, the device is there again.
Hope this makes more sense, thanks for answering.
First, verify that your page is current. I.e. clear your cache and refresh the page before perform that action.
Second, do you have a person logged into a mobile app that’s creating the device_tracker?
Cache cleared, I also tried several devices. None worked.
and 3. Device are indead the (gps) tackers from the mobile apps where the user is still logged in.
is a device tracker from the Fritzbox router integration, ie not from a mobile app. This device can also not be deleted.
I want to delete 2 and 3 because 3 is a tablet that I am not carrying around so it makes no sense to have my presence updated from it and the router obtained device updates too slow when I am already half an hour out of my house…
It’s working for me following the same path you’re taking.
Check your logs for errors
Nothing in the logs. It just seems as HA is simply doing nothing…
Well what can I say… I tried it again on my laptop and now it worked…
Have been trying it before on Android app, Android Browser, iPad App and iPad Browser with no success.
Not sure if it was a cache or a platform issue.
Nevertheless thanks for your efforts @petro
Definitely cache. That’s why I wanted you to try that first.
If you’re on windows CTRL+F5
It’s not working from android official app for me too. This looks like a bug to me.
Okay, looks like this is a Android bug not deleting the dropdown box when clicked on x via touch. I connected a mouse to my phone and using the mouse I was able to delete the old phone by left click on x. Maybe it is only on Android 12 or Samsung one UI 4. This was not a cache issue for me.
Doesn’t work for me either. Will delete on laptop later today.
I have the same problem on my Android.
Same issue. Chrome and iOS App
Same here.
I can’t remove a device from a person in the Android App and using the Edge browser on Android (Samsung).
I does work using Edge on the PC.
Same issue here. I can’t remove trackers. I can add or change tracker, but I can’t remove them.
(Android App)
I can confirm. Chrome on Android.
I have the same issue using the android app
2022.5.3 same issue on app, and chrome ( mobile and desktop)
