Create a new zone from the dashboard based on the current location of a device

Maybe I’m losing my mind but I swear I remember having the ability to create a new zone from the dashboard based on the GPS location of a cell phone.

From the dashboard, if I click on a “people” tile, a map of the persons associated “tracked device” is displayed. I believe this may be where I saw the ability in the past to create a new zone. Does anybody know if the feature was removed in an update over the last year or two?

What I would like to do is be able to set up a zone based on the current location without having to manually input a Lat and Long, for example, if my tracked device as at my office, I can open the device and have the current lat and long auto populate in a new zone so I don’t have to look it up or type it in. Anyone know if this is possible now?

Same question. I just went to make a zone from my current location and couldn’t find the button I used to use… :frowning:

Same issue, I’m sure I saw this previously, but here I sit, in a foreign country, wishing I could easily create a zone based on my current location. Instead I’m copying lat/lon coordinates and pasting them into HA.

  1. In your “Settings” (NOT the Map), click the magnifying glass in the upper left corner of the screen
  2. Type in “zones”
  3. Click “Navigate”
