Hello everyone. I want to set up a project where my Powerstation Bluetti is charged from the 220V grid, but not constantly at 500W (which is the consumption of the charger), but with a charge modulated by Home Assistant depending on the power of the solar panels.
Since I don’t have the option of connecting the Bluetti directly to the solar cells, I would like to regulate the charging power, if at all possible, with a device that can be coupled to HA.
The charger has a DC output of 58.8V - 8.5A
Does anyone know if something like this can be realized? Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you
Hi Chris78c, that seems like a great project to me^^
I want to do something similar, so almost the same interests.
Unfortunately, my expectations were probably very high to be able to control the Bluetti AC500 with Home Assistant.
In any case, I can now read out values, but they don’t really do me any good if I can’t control them via HA.
My solution:
I bought a smart plug for each plug. Now I can switch the Bluetti on and off depending on the electricity price or when it is simply empty and the consumers are no longer getting any power.
It doesn’t work perfectly.
The actual aim is to charge my battery with cheap solar energy or extremely cheap electricity (in winter) to discharge it back into the house grid. Will come later
