Thanks for the share… too bad…

As stated both in the OP here and in the documentation, please use GitHub for issues

love the new hacs.

the https://github.com/iammexx/home-assistant-config/tree/master/ui/darksky

Going to be in the installation of hacs?

Not unless it´s split into a seperate repository.

:sleepy:
Too bad.

Thanks; done. Was hoping someone here had seen the same issue…

The documentation site at https://custom-components.github.io/hacs/ have been restructured.

This will (hopefully) be easier to navigate and give more / clearer information both for users and developers.

awesome but some links are dead… for instance the page to generate the token

I cant find that, can you make a PR to fix that or post the broken link here?

its https://custom-components.github.io/hacs/token

Yeah, that does not exist, where did you find that?
It’s not anywhere in the git repo anymore

humm… followed the instructions in here https://github.com/custom-components/hacs

also Usefull Links section has some broken links

I’ll fix those
But none of them goes to the /token page?

Im afraid not.
But i was determined and found my way through the doc files in the zip.
It would be easier though a direct link.

token info was moved here https://custom-components.github.io/hacs/installation/configuration/#github-personal-access-token

HACS looks fantastic.
Regarding security: I’m not familiar much with Github and the personal token process. I’m curious why we need grant HACS access to github account. Is it just to store the components? Trying to understand what is stored there. Thanks!

Why?

HACS uses the GitHub API to gather information, without authentication the usage of the API is limited to 60 calls pr hour.

What?

If you folowed the provided guide to create a token, it only has read access.

[(no scope)] Grants read-only access to public information (includes public user profile info, public repository info, and gists)

You can read more about tokens here https://developer.github.com/apps/building-oauth-apps/understanding-scopes-for-oauth-apps/

I’ll update to HACS.

I read that I have to delete custom_updater for that.

So the tracker_card is also depricated and can also be deleted now, right?
Or do we need it for something in HACS?

Yes it is

When I add a repository like

the plugin opens and HACS installs it (www/community), but the repository doesn’t add to a list in “settings”. In fact there is not list, like seen in the examples.

Also the plugin doesn’t show up in “overview”. Plugins from the store show up
