Some time ago I bought a Daikin Alira X to replace an ancient and broken reverse cycle split system. I went with this model because I saw I could integrate into Home Assistant. Life was good.
A couple of things to note about the Daikin Alira X is that the model number is FTXM60WVMA and it uses the BRP084C44 WiFi controller.
Then…one day it stopped working! The reason being I updated the firmware of the unit and discovered this…
I have a fully supported local API model adaptor but I am still considering replacing it with one of these as the core integration is super slow to initialise.
Hey folks - I stumbled across a reasonably new community integration that can be used while we’re waiting for the HA team to update the official integration.
I set it up and it does exactly what I need!
That said, I’ve also purchased a Faikin controller so let’s see how that goes too.
Hey, I’ve expanded on this custom integration that allows you to add Daikin BRP084C44 controllers to HA as a device with entities (can see your temperatures, power usage, all the device has to offer as their own entities). This also registers as an actual device in home assistant which makes it easier to reference the device itself and singular entities if required Only tested currently with FTXV80WMVA. But worth a shot for any unit!
Confirming firmware 3.6 is working on AUS FTXM25YVMA! (built in wifi, unsure of adaptor model). New to HA and Daikin so unsure if any previous functionality has been lost from 2.8
