deCONZ - Official thread

I reset to factory settings the faulty plugs and added them again and seems stable for now…

Thanks, Adrian, I will give it a shot, I can always back up, might have to do it when everyone else is out, as it caused a few frowning faces last time I upgraded deconz.

Network perfectly stable on deconz 6.10.

Will wait for the stability specific fix of 6.11 until I can upgrade again to benefit the changes from 6.11…

running 6.11.1 since the first day it launched, my never really came up, only some devices. I mostly have aqara devices and lights are Ikea lights. Ikea repeaters scattered around too. It was working just fine on 6.10 but now my mesh map, after running for at least 5 days looks like the attached pic

I have some devices that are 15 meters away in a garage and another 10 meters away in a little house. Ive tried to turn on source routing, both with 6 as max hops and also with both default settings and having 60 as LQI. no change what ever I do. This morning more devices has stopped working, most aqara switches and aqara wireless switches no longer work or connect to the mesh. Im on the newest firmware also and not only on 6.11.1

Hi all,

I’m new to HA and have setup using a pi4. Was very excited to receive my Conbee II today and start adding my devices via DeCONZ which started off smoothly, however I have a hit a bump.

Based on the logs the Conbee now continually gets added then immediately removed every few seconds.

I’ve done some googling and can confirm I am using an official pi usb-c power supply, and have the Conbee II plugged into a usb 2.0 port via an extension cable.

Would really appreciate any help!

Just a guess but have you tried disabling modemmanager ? Conbee II Disconnecting and Reconnecting - #4 by francisp

Thanks for the reply but I don’t think that applies here as I’m running Home Assistant OS. systemctl isn’t even recognised in the terminal, unless I am missing something?

Try with windows. Install deconz and look if it’s ok there. If yes, then you know it’s not conbeeII hardware issue.

Dammit, now I gotta try and dig out a windows machine

There is information about network change:

I know, does not matter what I change, its still not coming up. I have devices less than 1 meter away, they lost connection yesterday too. Not only that, but I have many devices that are not battery powered (Ikea and aqara) and 4 repeaters (Ikea), so my network has been super stable until now. Today I rolled back to 6.10.0, it’s been 1 hour, but network is not really up yet either.

I’m using also aqara and 3 ikea repeaters. Powered device reconnect directly but not battery device.
If you trigger battery devices, they will appear faster normaly and you can see if they react in HA but since rollback, I don’t see the link anymore in deconz (but all are running fine) … Weird

In debug view, you can activate some debug level that show LQI. Try one by one

Well, mine don’t work, it’s not just that they are not showing as a link in deconz, they are unavailable and pressing a button does nothing.
im going to test one thing, remove all ikea repeaters and see if that helps. now 2h after rollback to 6.10.0 my network is more or less the same as 6.11.1. Not just the links showing in vnc to deconz, but most things are unavailable. Pressing buttons has not helped there either

In the debug log of deconz , I see on ikea repeaters are in different PAN.
neigbor 0x5c0272xxxxxx in different pan 0xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

And some information are available here:

for me as I rolled back from 6.11.1 back to 6.10 I had to reboot / repair most of devices to get the previous network stability I had in 6.10. Since I have done than nothing went offline.

got the same issue. where do I find the plug in? thx

I you have HACS - go to addons - install plugin Studio Code Server. Using that plugin, you can edit the IP address

@PetterS HACS has nothing to do with Addons. HACS can install custom components. You mean install Visual Studio Addon from Configuration → Addons…
But even with that this just gives you an editor so you can edit any text file. You still need to find the right JSON file and find the right place and one small mistake and you are in trouble.

@Robban isn’t Deconz one of the integrations where you can reinstall Deconz integration again without removing the existing and that will give you the chance to change enter the correct IP?

We really should have a proper way to edit these basic things. We lost that when we moved from YAML to GUI. It was supposed to make it more newbie friendly and less geeky but the implementation has ended up causing so much trouble because you cannot edit basic things like an IP address when it changes. It sucks and people are driven to hack JSON files and even more trouble.

how did you do a repair? just a reset of the device and rejoin without delete in deconz?

Yes exactly running a new integration setup towards a known deconz gateway will update any existing integration with the new configuration
