deCONZ - Official thread

You’ll probably get a better answer if you state which light and how you did it…

I’m having trouble with deconz integration to HA. For some reason the connection was lost and I can’t establish it again. I tried to remove the integration and install it again, but it did not help. I can still connect to deconz by VNC. There were some references to this kind on issue on this thread, but no apparent solution.

Here’s what I get from HA logs:

Hi, I assume, that something is wrong with your config entries for the deconz integration.
I would check the notation.

Well, it says there is something with your key. Try to connect with a web browser and that same key and see if it works.

Like:

http:<ip>:<port>/api/<key>/lights/

Since switching my zigbee stuff from Wink to Deconz/conbee stick, I miss being able to talk to my light bulbs. Is there an Alexa/Deconz “Skill” out there somewhere that I’m just not able to find?

Ok, this is weird since I did not touch anything in the config. Phoscon app cannot be reached either. This happened after I got ESPHome up and running. Then I rebooted the system and Deconz was lost. Maybe flashing ESP module in the rasp3 USB-port caused some conflict in the config? Just guessing here…

There are scattered reports about conbee 2 getting into conflicts with usb if something is attached to usb 3. All I have seen has been about ssd drives, but maybe it’s your problem.

Nope, but you can link your home assistant instance to Alexa using home assistant cloud or manual configuration, which does the same. Just search for it in the Docs!

Followed the link in Alexa Component, went to Emulated Hue, worked like a charm! Pretty painless to set up also. Thank you sir!

Hi all,

I have just jumped over from Z2M to Deconz.

All seems fine but i am having trouble with the one button switch (WXKG11LM 2016) from Xiaomi. In Phoscon the button works good and i am able to let it switch my lights on/off but the button.

But the problem is that in Home assistant it only appears as battery level sensor…

I have tried to pair it as sensor too but that doesnt work. Anyone any suggestions? If logs are needed i can provide.

All buttons, remotes etc in Deconz appear as events.

Go to the Developer Tools, the Events tab and scroll down and type deconz_event and click start listening

And the click the button. You now see the events as 4 digit numbers and you see the name of the device. If you rename the device in Phoscon, you need to restart home assistant to see the new name.

This is all documented in the Deconz documentation https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/deconz/

Thanks for your fast reply. I really wasn’t aware of this. Now this makes it kinda complex for some simple automations i guess. Hmmm need to do some study then.

Simple automations in hass: use device triggers and your remotes different buttons are all exposed in a drop down list

Just had a look at that… it only show one option, which is for the battery.

I have the same switch and I have all the events available. Maybe you’re in the wrong section, “Only do something if…” instead of “Do something when…”

nope…

image

I do see the event tho…

Could be a different version of the switch, one being supported by the device automation and one not.

Indeed… I have the following one:

Vendor Xiaomi
Product Smart Switch WXKG12LM
Version 20180629

and i have:

Product Smart Switch WXKG11LM
Version 20161128
