I have raised this on community rather than Github because I am hoping someone has had this issue and resolved it.
I have three devices which regularly drop off the network and become unavailable, no specific errors in the logs but there seems to be a pattern to the drops. See image below:
It appears to be happening mainly in the hallway which is where my server is located and is effecting a heimann smoke detector, Aqara Motion Sensor and in the bedroom above a Gledopto LED strip. The devices in the hallway are no more than 4m from the conbee.
I have made sure the WIFI which is close by is on channel 1 while the Conbee is on channel 26, Conbee is on latest firmware and I have swopped out the motion sensor and LED strip in case the devices were defective.
Not sure what else to do. Any ideas?
My setup, HA OS 2021.12 running on NUC with Conbee II.
Had the same problem with my Conbee II and for me it helped by connecting it through a usb extension chord. Mine is around 1-1.5m long and really helped with keeping connections alive. (I will also add that this was on an older HA version, around 2 years back, but I can see that phoscon still recommends an extension to the conbee ii)
Thanks Magnus, yeah. Mine is on a 2m usb extension cable. I think it might be interference but have no way of knowing what as they are all within about 4m of the conbee II. There are devices much further away, in the garage (Aqara door sensor) about 10m which have not been a problem.
No idea😄, however, the network has become much more stable, the last changed I made was to turn down the power of my 2.4Ghz wi-fi, extend slightly the usb extension and replace the cable, make sure the ZigBee and wi-fi were on completely separate channels and reconnect the errant devices through different routers rather than direct to the coordinator.
One or more of these changes has so far meant I only have one problematic device which refuses to stay connected. Rather than three or four devices previously.
